Yes, we conducted an on-site evaluation on July 21, 2018, and installed their pool fence on April 20, 2019.
The City of Rialto has its own set of pool fence regulations. These pool fence requirements state that homeowners must install a barrier that is at least 60 inches above the ground and has a maximum vertical clearance between grade and the bottom of 2 inches. Any openings in the barrier must not allow the passage of a 1¾-inch-diameter sphere.
Access gates must not only comply with these requirements but also be equipped with a locking device and be self-closing and self-latching. The device should be located less than 54 inches from the bottom of the gate on the pool side of the gate and at least 3 inches below the top of the gate. The gate must remain locked at all times when not in use.
What Was the Scope of Work?
For this job, the homeowner contacted us to have a Life Saver pool fence installed around their pool as a protective measure. The homeowner chose to have 63’ of all black Life Saver Pool Fence installed with a self-closing, self-latching pool gate.
The installation itself was mostly done in concrete, however, there were 3 level changes we had to accommodate, as well as 3’ of dirt work. There was also a step up into a 2’ tall raised planter. To accommodate the planter, we added in a 5’ tall panel. Before the planter, there was the ledge which couldn’t be used as a means for kids to easily hop over the fence.
