Client:
The client’s name was Oscar.
Location of Installation:
Long Beach, CA
When was the job completion date? March 2, 2021
Was There An On-Site Evaluation?
We completed our client Oscar’s pool fencing job on March 2, 2021. We did not do an on-site evaluation on this particular installation project.
We used all concrete with the exception of 2 poles at each end. These poles were filled completely with dirt.
Oscar decided to get a pool fence installed to help keep his new born baby safe. Mainly, because his pool is situated directly outside the rear door of his house.
Once the baby learns to crawl, he doesn’t want to leave any access to the pool area.
What Were the Job Details?
Our team installed an all-black Life Saver Pool Fence. The fence has a square self-closing, self-latching gate, which will prevent small children from opening. Pool gates and doors without latches can be a safety hazard because it can be opened easily by children. The size of the fence we installed was 4’ tall.
This was an easy pool fence install for us because it didn’t have any kind of installation problems.
Pool Safety Tips…
Personal Immersion Alarms
Children under the age of five years old should always wear personal immersion alarms. Safety Turtle is considered a parent approved pool safety alarm to choose.
Early Swimming Lessons
Small children should learn to swim early. In fact, everyone should know how to swim in your household. Some parents wait until their children are as old as eight. Experts suggest that children learn to swim as early as 12 months old. Consider enrolling your child into swim survival training class.
Automatic Pool Cover
Every pool should have a pool cover. A pool cover will not only help keep unwanted wildlife out of your pool, it will keep small children, and pets out of the pool when it’s not being used.
If you are a caregiver to an elderly parent, or loved ones, having an automatic pool cover will help keep them safe if they wander.
Alarms on All Windows & Doors
Parents with small children should have alarms on all windows and doors, especially if they lead out to the pool area, like Oscars.
No Electronics
Never have any type of electronics by the pool. That includes phones, tablets, etc.
No Toys
Never use pool toys as safety jackets, this can be extremely dangerous.
Never Swim During a Thunderstorm
When lightning strikes water, it can be dangerous. It could injure or kill anyone inside of a pool, lake or ocean. If an unexpected storm occurs, make sure everyone gets out of the water as quickly and safely as possible until after the storm.
